Cross-posted from my Livejournal:

OK, Melted Rachel seems to have disappeared for a while and has been replaced by Crazed Promoto-tron: clicker of all links, joiner of all sites.

So far this week (well last week now) I have:

• Made 6 Melted Fabrics lenses on Squidoo :

http://www.squidoo.com/MeltedFabrics This one gives a little bit more info about how I started with some images of very early textiles.

http://www.squidoo.com/Foundling-Textiles-Sketchbook This one goes into a lot of the inspiration for the Foundling Sketchbook- I didn’t want to talk about other artists etc in the actual book because of copyright stuff etc etc.

http://www.squidoo.com/Melting-and-Felting This is a lens for my Melting and Felting book which includes a few of the images from the book, some info and links to other stuff.

http://www.squidoo.com/Hand-Crafted-Melted-Fabrics-Bags-and-Purses This is a Lens specifically for the bags I’ve created. I’m thinking about writing a bags and purses book next and including patterns in it etc. I found some of my really early bag photos and put them up here.

http://www.squidoo.com/Textiles-Wraps-and-Shawls This is a lens for the Textile Wrap book I “released” last week.

http://www.squidoo.com/Melted-Fabrics-Creative-Journal This is about the creative journal I’m keeping for a year which will be available in Oct-Nov 09.

And I have 2 more I’m still working on, plus ideas for 9 more- sorry! :/ Anybody else have a Squidoo Lens or 20? I’d love to see them.

• Remembered I have a cafepress store:

The photos on there were so old- I’d totally forgotten about it. In my profile pic I was 21, so that’s 6/7 years old now!
I added some new stuff- a lot of things from my Foundling book- cute whimsical baby imagery- that seems to be my speciality!

• Found Zazzle.

I made shoes with my Red Rabbit textiles piece on them- honestly I don’t know who would want all this stuff- I guess it’s just self-indulgent. I want the shoes, I also really want the Bluebirds and Baby mug in my cafepress store! Zazzle seems to have a better deal than cafepress- I believe you can make more than one of every product, which is good for selling prints- I’ll be adding more prints soon.

• I joined tagfoot and delicious so I could bookmark all the stuff I love. Oh yeah, I’m all about the social bookmarking...

I believe these are the links:

I have a digg account too, I’m just not sure what to do with it yet!

I made a page on my website for my Textiles Art kits: http://www.meltedfabrics.com/Textiles%20Art%20Kits.htm

Colette of http://www.pomegranateplace.com very kindly let me use some images of textiles she'd made from one of my kits. If anyone else has images of textiles they made from my kits that they want up on my website, please let me know :)

Please share some of your links too. I want to know what you’re up to!

I've just discovered Squidoo. It's really addictive.

So far I've made a Lens for my artwork and one specifically for my Foundling CD Book.

I feel like Foundling is my ugly child sometimes because it's the least likely one to get bought so I thought I'd let you all know a little more about it.
Below you can see a couple of images of projects from the Foundling book. I've added more onto the Foundling Squidoo Lens. I've also added the books that inspired my work, some info about artists that inspired me and you can even add info about your favourite female artists.

Melted textiles details.

I've just moved here from http://melted-fabrics.blogspot.com/ as I can't access the other blog without signing myself out of my gmail.
It's been such a long time since I blogged here that I've since written another new textiles book last year (see images above). It's available from my website http://www.meltedfabrics.com/Melting%20and%20Felting%20CD%20book.htm
